Job Description:

As an Açaí Bowl Crafter, Smoothie Maker, and Cashier at Aloha Acai Bowls, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and creating mouthwatering treats for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Crafting Açaí Bowls and Smoothies: Prepare and assemble a variety of açaí bowls and smoothies according to our recipes and customer preferences. Ensure consistency in quality and presentation while adhering to food safety standards.

  2. Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, provide recommendations, and assist with any inquiries they may have about our menu offerings. Strive to create a positive and memorable experience for every guest.

  3. Cashier Duties: Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system. Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain a tidy and organized cashier station. Answer phone calls and take customer orders for pick-up or delivery as needed.

  4. Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the store, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Follow proper procedures for food handling, storage, and disposal to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.

  5. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, fellow cashiers, and management to prioritize tasks and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.

Store Manager

Job Summary:
Alohana Açai Bowls is seeking a passionate and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our açai bowl and smoothie restaurant in Vista, California. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a food service establishment and a passion for healthy eating and exceptional customer service. The Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently, while also maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of employees, including cashiers, food prep staff, and servers

  • Schedule employee shifts and manage payroll expenses

  • Order and maintain inventory of food and beverage supplies, including fresh fruit, açai, and other ingredients

  • Ensure that all food items are prepared according to company recipes and standards of quality and freshness

  • Maintain a clean and organized restaurant, including the dining area, kitchen, and storage areas

  • Manage customer complaints and ensure that all customers are satisfied with their experience

Job Title: Lead Hourly Team Member – Alohana Acai

Locations: All Locations (San Diego)

Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Manager

Position Overview:

As the Lead Hourly Team Member at Alohana, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. You will take on leadership responsibilities, guide team members, and ensure customers receive high-quality products and excellent service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and has a passion for health-conscious, delicious food and drinks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead by example by providing excellent customer service, ensuring team members maintain high standards.

  • Support and assist the store manager, mentoring, and developing new staff.

  • Step in as a supervisor during the manager’s absence, ensuring operational continuity.

  • Offer feedback around scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts and peak times.

  • Assist store manager is proper execution of all store policies and procedures and holding the crew accountable through verbal coaching and leading by example.

  • Customer Service:

  • Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Ensure that all crew members are taking and using customers names for all orders every time to promote a better customer experience and connection.

  • Take customer orders, provide product recommendations, and answer questions about menu items.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of orders.

  • Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner. Communicate to the director of operations and store manager what the issues were and how they were resolved or if we need to get involved to help resolve them.

  • Product Preparation & Quality Control:

  • Prepare and assemble acai bowls and smoothies following recipes and portion control guidelines.

  • Ensure all products are prepared to the highest quality and consistency standards.

  • Demonstrate, coach and teach proper execution and packaging of all online and delivery service orders that maintain food safety standards and expectations.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.

  • Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Assist store manager in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

  • Monitor product levels and ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored.

  • Operational Efficiency:

  • Monitor and assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the store is prepared for daily operations and properly closed at the end of the day. Offer feedback to crew on quality of closes. Communicate feedback given to the crew with the store manager including successes and areas of opportunity.

  • Assist with cash handling, POS transactions, and daily reconciliation.

  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including dining areas, kitchen, and storage areas.

  • Coach, develop and direct crew while working side by side to achieve operational consistency and success. Have appropriate coaching conversations as needed. Communicate any areas of opportunity for development of crew members to the store manager.

  • Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines and health regulations.

  • Ensure team members follow all cleanliness and safety protocols, including maintaining sanitized workstations and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a food service or customer-facing role, with at least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Passion for healthy food and beverage options, with knowledge of acai bowls, smoothies, and dietary preferences (vegan, gluten-free, etc.).

  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on quality and efficiency.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Catering and Events Manager

Job Title: Catering and Events Manager - Alohana Acai Bowls
Location: Carlsbad, California
Alohana Acai Bowls is seeking an experienced Catering and Events Manager to join our team. The Catering and Events Manager will be responsible for managing and executing all catering and events orders for our Carlsbad-based acai bowl company. As a Catering and Events Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and participating in the entire catering and events process, from initial customer inquiries to delivery, setup and service of the events/orders.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute all catering and events for the company, including processing orders, creating menus, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely delivery and setup

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers to generate new business and maintain existing relationships

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies and promotions to increase catering and events sales

  • Coordinate with the Warehouse/Kitchen Manager to ensure that all catering and events orders are executed to the highest standards and in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Manage inventory and supplies for catering and events, ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available and in good working condition

  • Create and maintain accurate records of all catering and events orders, including customer information, menu items, and delivery details

  • Monitor catering and events costs and budgets to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness

  • Maintain a professional and positive image of the company at all times, both in person and over the phone/email

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of catering and events staff to assist with orders and deliveries

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in catering or events management

  • Clean driving record (min 5 years driving experience)and ability to drive a full size box van

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and clients

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word

  • Experience with catering and events software and technology platforms

  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and industry standards. Food handling certificate required.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred, but not required
